✨2026 Workshops ~ Just Announced ✨

WEAVING AS MEDITATION

Reconnect with your human roots by practicing weaving in community.

This 4-session weaving course is designed for beginners or those returning to the loom after
some time away. Over the course of the sessions you will learn the functions of a Rigid
Heddle loom and create a weaving from start to finish. As a group we will discuss craft,
materials, and our innate human need to make; examining what it means to our brains
and bodies to return to weaving in modern times.

This class meets on two Thursday evenings and two Sunday mornings
February 5, 8, 12, 15th 2026, hosted at Deep Waters in Portland, OR.
$330 cost, includes all materials.

Deep Waters honors the many paths people walk,
offering classes, gatherings, and practices
that nurture connection, depth, and spirit.
It is a place of welcome,
where difference is held with tenderness,
and where the work of being human
is honored as holy.

Lap Loom x Megan Mesloh @ LANDDD

We’re welcoming Portland TextileX Month’s annual October events with textile artist and local weaver, Megan Mesloh, who will be teaching this introductory class in the Landdd showroom on handmade wooden lap looms. We’ll be weaving with naturally dyed Oaxacan wool, sourced directly from small farmers with sustainable practices who we partner with in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. With Megan as our guide, we’ll learn the basics of weaving your very own textile on this 15’’ x 15’’ loom. We will cover the essentials of warping, using a shuttle, pattern planning, various weaving techniques, troubleshooting common mistakes, and finally, removing the textile from the loom. Whether a complete beginner or have some prior experience, this class is suitable for all skill levels, and no prior weaving knowledge is required. We welcome all abilities and ages.
